Simulator
of Selectivity notes

Here a note simulator so you can calculate your PCE UNEDASISS selectivity grade with your exam grades and compare it with the cut-off grade for the degree you want.

Since there are two types of Selectivity, (PCE UNED for students with a foreign bachelor's degree and PAU type for students with a Spanish bachelor's degree, or a foreign one who is asked to do so by the university), we have devised two calculation systems. Choose the one you need.

Before starting, we are going to recommend reading these articles:

Selectivity
with 4 subjects

This model is used for universities of Madrid, Valencian Community, Castilla – León, Murcia, Navarra and Extremadura.

This calculation does not take into account the criterion of Mode, an essential requirement for universities in Madrid or Castilla-León. Failed subjects (less than 5 points) should not be included. In the spaces for specific subjects you do not have to enter the grades for Language, English, French or History of Spain, since they are subjects that are NOT weighted in that phase. Decimals are with a dot (.)

Mentorship

Selectivity
with 6 subjects

This calculation, as we have commented above, is for Andalusia, Catalonia, Castilla La Mancha, Basque Country, Asturias, Cantabria, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands*. Here a general phase with 4 subjects and an optional or specific phase with up to two subjects is requested.

This type of configuration is what is requested of Spanish high school students as well. Decimals are indicated with a dot (.)

Have you managed to pass?

If you have managed to pass all your exams…congratulations! Now all that remains is to know if your grade is valid to be able to enter the university. To do this, you will have to compare your final grade with the cut-off note of the university degree you want to access.

Subsequently, you will have to do the university pre-registration required by your university.

Hasn't it turned out as you expected?

If you have not managed to pass your exams, you have not obtained the criteria of High school modality or you have fallen far from the necessary grade, we leave you some solutions:

FAQs

Yes, you can calculate your admission grade to any university with our calculator, whatever your criteria.

The cut-off grade is the grade obtained by the last student who entered the grade you want last year. Therefore, it is a guidance note. You can see more information at our post about it.

This depends on the official call published by UNED, but normally the ordinary call is made at the end of May and the extraordinary call at the beginning of September.

Normally, university pre-registration is done after the exams, that is, in July and/or September, when the Autonomous Community decides.

  1. Hello, for university admissions, is it enough to upload the "unofficial" accreditation that UNED provides us free of charge? Or do I have to pay for the certificate and other documents? Thank you.

  2. Hello, good morning. If I haven't gotten the grade required to enter my desired program and I want to apply for the extraordinary session to raise my grade, if I apply for a subject that counts in both the compulsory and voluntary phases, and I get a better grade, is this grade only modified in the voluntary phase and therefore only modifies the admission grade, or does it also change in the compulsory phase and therefore also the entrance grade? In other words, if I want to also improve my entrance grade, do I have to apply for all the subjects in the compulsory phase? Thank you.

    • Hello Vicente. We're missing a very important piece of information: the host university. If we don't know this, we can't give you a correct answer.

[14/7, 12:56 PM] Nestor: My daughter is pursuing a medical degree at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.
[14/7, 12:57 PM] Nestor: We are in Ecuador. She has applied to 3 calls, the most recent in June.
[14/7, 1:02 PM] Nestor: Has the following notes in June 2025.
        Chemistry 7.25
        Biology 6.25
        Mate 10
English 9 and as a consolidated or approved baccalaureate 8.73
But in the two previous calls it has two higher grades than this last one, which are:
        Biology 8.25
        English 9.8
What grade should I have for admission to the University of Galicia or any other university I could apply for, such as those in the Valencian Community and the Community of Madrid?

  3. I received my results today and they gave me a note called
UNED RATING THAT WILL BE USED BY SPANISH UNIVERSITIES TO ESTABLISH THEIR ADMISSION SCORE
I want to know if this is the published cut-off score for admission to training courses at Spanish universities?

    Reply
    • No, that's not the cut-off score. It's the admission score. However, that score will vary depending on the university you want to attend, as weighting must be applied based on your choice.

  4. Hello, if I have an 8 in MATHEMATICS and a 5 in SPECIFIC (drawing) and a 7 in SPECIFIC (physics), will MATHEMATICS be part of the specific phase instead of drawing, is it higher?

    Reply
    • Yes, although it depends on where you graduated from high school and university. You'd have to look at it carefully.

  5. Can the grades for specific subjects be doubled for the cut-off mark? Is it necessary to pass the specific subjects?

    Reply
    • To count, they must be approved. You can contribute up to 2 points for each of the specific criteria.

  6. Hello, I am Spanish and have a Moroccan baccalaureate degree, and I want to know if there are any universities in Andalusia that accept students with four subjects. Are there any exceptions if they don't accept students with four subjects?

    Reply
    • Andalusian universities require a PAU exam with four subjects and two optional subjects. What you need to know is the required configuration.

  7. Hello, if I want to apply to Barcelona, how many exams do I have to take, 4 or 6?

    Reply
    • Between 4 and 6, depending on the grade you need to achieve to meet the cutoff. We make subject choices with rigor and individualization, so if you want, we'd need to discuss it with a counselor. Best regards.

  8. Hello, I am Moroccan and I am preparing for the university entrance exams. I will pass in 6 subjects (language, history, maths II, physics, drawing tec, English) and a B2 level, but I have a question, if I want to study fundamentals of architecture at URJC or UMP, will they only calculate 4 subjects? (maths II, physics, drawing tec, English) or will they apply the modality, if this is the case, what does modality mean and how is it done?

    Reply
    • Indeed, for universities in Madrid, it's not necessary to take six subjects. Four would be sufficient. The Modality always applies in these cases, requiring the student to pass a series of subjects. We can't explain this through this medium. If you wish, please write to us and request advice. Best regards.
