What is the Higher Degree Access Test?

Free tests to access Higher Level Vocational Training are an excellent way to access higher education without previous studies. This is a facilitation for those people who, for whatever reasons, were not able to finish ESO or high school and wish to return to study. The magic of this is precisely that you do not need to start from where you left off, but rather take a few simple exams to obtain direct access to the desired study.

Requirements

In general, in order to present this evidence, it is necessary to meet 2 requirements:

  1. Be 19 years old or older in the year the test is held.
  2. Not have any qualification such as Technician (Intermediate Degree), high school or university degree.

It is possible that each CCAA, which organizes them, may request additional requirements, so we always recommend knowing the bases of the current call.

Characteristics of the PAGS exams

  1. The exams are divided into subjects from the General Phase and the Specific Phase. The Specific Phase (Social, Science, Technology) is determined by the area or scope of the Higher Degree study that you want to carry out.
  2. There is one call per year in each CCAA. It is possible that in some regions there will also be another extraordinary one. The exams are usually in the months of May or June.
  3. If you have the ESO, by passing this test you get the Equivalent to high school, valid for many oppositions.

Advantages of taking the test

  1. Save of time and money. It is not necessary to start studying from the beginning or finish studies that have been abandoned. With this simple test you save years of studying in high school or secondary school.
  2. Intermediate level exams. The tests are affordable, where if you study you can pass without problems. If you want to get a grade, it is necessary to extend the study hours further, but getting the pass is not complicated.
  3. Possibility of presenting tests in various CCAA. In some regions there are restrictions, but in many there are not, so you can take several exams a year to have more opportunities.
  4. Possibility of presenting fewer subjects. It is possible to request an exemption from the Specific Phase due to work experience, so there would be fewer subjects to study.

How can I prepare for these tests?

The exams must be prepared, since although they have medium-level content, each region or CCAA has its own characteristics. It is necessary to know in advance the evaluable syllabus, the registration and exam dates, the exemptions and the type of exam. Therefore, we recommend taking the preparation with an academy specialized in it, such as M25 Academy. They have teachers, coordinators, updated syllabi, previous exams and much more so that you can go with the best preparation and ensure your access.

FAQ

Is it necessary to have a high school diploma or ESO to take these tests?

No, it's not necessary. What's more, if you have a high school diploma you cannot present them.

What subjects must be prepared?

It depends on the Higher Degree you want to access. The normal thing is to prepare a General Phase with Language, English and Mathematics and a Specific Phase with Biology, Chemistry if you go for Sciences, Geography and Economics if you go for Social Sciences and Physics and Technical Drawing if you go for Technology, but it depends on the offer there is. in the CCAA where you want to present yourself.

Can I access the study I want from FPII by taking these exams?

Passing the exams does not guarantee access, but at least you have a way to enter that study. That is, it depends on the grade obtained, the Training Center (public or private), whether it is remote...

How much do exam fees cost?

It depends on the CCAA. It can be free or pay up to 60 euros.

Where are the tests presented?

In the public institutes marked by the CCAA call where you want to apply.

Can I apply in all the regions I want?

It depends on what the CCAA states. On some occasions you are only allowed to apply in that region, eliminating the applications of candidates who appear in others. We recommend presenting only in the CCAA where the Higher Degree study will be carried out, since applications for access to the institutes of those candidates who have taken the exams in the same region prevail.
