We will explain to you, on the one hand, the academic requirements, and, on the other, the general requirements to be able to study in Spain.
How to study in Spain as a Cuban
To be able to study at a university in Spain, you need 7 steps if you have a Cuban passport:
- Finish the high School.
- Apostille your title.
- Homologate your high school diploma. You can do this in Spain, at its immigration offices or Ministry of Education, or from the Spanish embassy in Havana. Qualifications and a high school diploma will be required, if possible, by means of a certified copy.
- study the Subjects accurate for exams. In this case, no one better than us, Escuela PCE, to ensure your access to Spanish universities. Contact us and ask about the courses.
- Sign up for the PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity exams.
- Take the PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity.
- Make university pre-registration.
Easy, right? Escuela PCE can help you with your homologation and all subsequent processes. Legal requirements for Cuban students
Once we have seen the steps, we are going to indicate the general requirements that you must meet if you are a student. You should know that these are broad requirements, so, once you have made your decision to study in Spain, consult the Spanish consulate that will provide you with all the official information in force for that specific moment.
- Valid passport.
- Acceptance letter from the entity or university.
- Reservation of the passage to Spain.
- Taking out travel insurance.
- Apply for a study visa. This is something we want to explain to you well. If you are going to stay less than 3 months, a visa is not necessary. If you are going to be there (as is normal for a study) longer than that date, you will have to apply for a study visa at the Spanish consulate in your city. To do this you will have to prove that you have been accepted into the academic center or university, providing the registration and the money deposited for said course. Escuela PCE can help you make your university entry easier, saving you costs. Since we are a specialized online academy, we can prepare you while you are in Cuba, without having to come to Spain. We would take you through all the processes, explaining the classes, signing you up for the exams you would take...in Havana! Once you have taken the exams, the subsequent university pre-registration and received notification that you are accepted at a university, you can apply for a study visa through the certificate that the destination university will issue to you. This will help you save on housing, food, transportation, trips to Spain, documentation costs, etc. Ask us about this and we will explain it to you personally with one of our coordinators.
- Be free of criminal record.
- Medical certificate.
- Proof that you have means of subsistence for the requested period and to guarantee return (consult with the Spanish consulate to check the official financial requirements in the year of the application).
- Indicate residence during the period indicated on the visa.
You can check all this at the Spanish embassy in Havana
