How to study in Spain with Mexican studies

To be able to study at a university in Spain, you need 7 steps if you have a Mexican passport:

  1. Finish the high School.
  2. Apostille your title.
  3. Homologate your high school diploma.  Qualifications and a high school diploma will be required, if possible, by means of a certified copy.
  4. Study the necessary subjects for the exams.
  5. Sign up for the PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity exams.
  6. Take the PCE UNEDasiss Selectivity.
  7. Make university pre-registration.

Legal requirements for students from Mexico

We are going to indicate the general requirements that you must meet if you are a student. You should know that these are broad requirements, so, once you have made your decision to study in Spain, consult the Spanish consulate that will provide you with all the official information in force for that specific moment.

  • Valid passport.
  • Acceptance letter from the entity or university.
  • Reservation of the passage to Spain.
  • Take out travel insurance.
  • Apply for a study visa.
  • Be free of criminal records.
  • Medical certificate.
  • Proof that you have the means of subsistence for the requested period and to guarantee your return (consult with the Spanish consulate to check the official financial requirements in the year of the application).
  • Indicate residence during the period indicated on the visa.

Where to study in Spain?

In Spain you have many options to study. The Spanish educational system is complete and can bring together many studies that may be interesting for you. Currently, there are more than 90 universities in Spain. Before deciding, we tell you some things you should know before coming to Spain:

  • When you are in Spain, you will have to apply for the TIE (Identification Card for Foreigners). This procedure is carried out at any police station or at an Immigration Office (by appointment). The TIE does not allow you to work, although there may be exceptions.
  • You need to know How much money does it cost to live in Spain as a student.
  • Another aspect is that you know the cost of Spanish universities.
  • Another option is to live in a student residence.
